  • Will you explain to us what your Arab ethnic groups are like?
  • Good morning students, take out your journals and describe to me the difference between an ethnic group and a religious group.
  • Sure! Arabs mostly speak Arabic. They live lots of places within the Middle East. Arabs are mostly Muslim. And the history of the Arabs began way back in the mid-ninth century.

  • Cool! But my ethnic group, the Persians are a lot different.
  • Interesting...
  •  Mine too. But we aren't Perian nor Arab.. we are Kurds. Kurds speak Kurdish or Arabic. We are considered Sunni Muslims. We live anywhere from Eastern Turkey to Northern Syria. We have historically inhabited the mountainous areas to the South of Lake Van And Lake Urmia, A geographical area collectively referred to as Kurdistan.

  • We Persians don't speak Arabic at all. We speak a language called Farsi. We mostly live in Iran.We believe in Zoroastrianism. And we are known for our history in Iran, also known as Persia in the western world. Sometimes it was considered Greater Iran, comprising the area from Anatolia.
