in this frame Meimei is running away from her mom, Meimei is very upset and frustrated. as she is running down the alleyways she ran until it hurt and realizes that she was not running from anything, the alleyways contain no escape route she starts to head back home

In this frame Meimei's mom is waiting for her at the dinner table and is ferrous with Meimei, but she refuses to look at Meimei, she thinks that Meimei has no concern for her so she has no concern for Meimei.
some internal conflict and irony is when Meimei starts to think that her and her mom are a chess game and her mom is winning, knocking all Meimei's pieces off, then she gets knocked off and falls and feels like she is flying.
