  • Hi! Today we are going to be taking a trip to learn about UbD!
  • The three stages of UbD are desired results, assessment evidence, and learning plan. Desired results are what I want my students to understand. Stage 2 assessment evidence is figuring out how my students will understand what I want them to understand. And stage 3 is what can I do in the classroom to prepare my students for the assessment?
  • The advantages of utilizing UbD is it helps teachers to understand what the students need to be able to understand in order to get a good grade on the assessments. It also gives teachers feedback on what they can do to make the learning in their classroom more affective.
  • Some key words used in UbD is established goals which means the things you want to accomplish in a lesson, and is what do students need to learn and be able to do? Performance tasks are activities or projects that let the teacher (me) know if you have learned what I wanted you to learn. Learning activities are how the student will learn the information.
  • Learning goals are what you want the student to learn or be able to do by the end of the lesson. Feedback and assessment is how will I know what they know I want them to know? And lastly teaching and learning is how you will accomplish your tasks and goals so that your students can know or do a certain thing.
  • THE END!!!!
