  • Title of Novel: The Lost Hero Character's Name: Leo Evidence: (first mention) "Leo looked like a Latino Santa's elf with curly black hair, pointy ears, a cheerful, babyish face, and a mischievous smile" (Riordan 5) .
  • Physical Description: Leo had curly black hair, point ears, a cheerful face, a mischievous smile and long fingers. Explanation: This shows Leo's appearance and his smile showed he was full of trouble.
  • Strongest Personality Trait: class clown Cited Evidence: "The expression on everyone's faces when he flew the dragon into camp? Priceless! He thought his cabin mates were going to bust a lug nut" (Riordan 191) . Explanation: This shows that when he flew Festus the dragon into the camp everyone was really laughing hysterically.
  • Additional Character Trait: intelligent/smart Cited Evidence: "The wheels were sinking into the road like it was made of quicksand. Not fast-- just enough to make the driver think he had a transmission problem or a bad axle-- but Leo knew different" (Riordan 443) . Explanation: This quote shows that Leo was aware what the problem was with the taxi before the driver even knew. Therefor, he is smart.
  • How Leo is impacted by the setting: Leo has to fight the Cyclopes at the automobile factory in order to save Jason and Piper from being eaten. Cited Evidence: "Then at robotic arm whirred to life. A three-ton yellow metal arm slammed the Cyclops in the back so hard, he landed flat on his face" (Riordan 324) . Explanation: This shows one of Leo's attacks against the Cyclopes and that he was winning. Explanation:
  • Static or Dynamic Character: Leo is a static character. Cited Evidence: "Either the kid was naturally hyper or he was hopped on enough sugar and caffeine to give a heart attack to a water buffalo" (Riordan 5) . Explanation: This quote shows that Leo is a static character throughout the book and stays pretty much the same. Leo was hyper in the beginning of the book and still was at the very end. He remained funny, brave, smart, and still feels the same way about his friends as he did in the very beginning.
