- Catherine, Called Birdy is about Catherine, who is writing a diary for her brother, a monk, to see if she becomes less childish
- Edward (birdy's brother and monk)

- Catherine talks about how she hates her chores, her father, and her terrible suitors.
- i cant believe I'm locked in my chamber sewing again! :(
- One day, her beloved uncle George comes home from Crusades
- Stonebridge Castle (2 km)
- A couple days later, Catherine and Morrwenna go to the monastery where her brother Edward lives.
- They get back for Saint Catherine's day and Catherine's birthday. Catherine plays a practical joke at her birthday feast.
- On December 2nd, Catherine goes to see a hanging. She gets scared and runs. On her way home, she sees a funeral and thinks its the king's, but it's not!
- As soon as it starts to snow, all the kids have a snowball fight and go ice-skating by strapping bones to their shoes.
- On the twelfth day of Christmas, the kids have a play but things get kind of crazy.
- On February 6th, there's a sword fight and someone gets lost in the snow
- In early spring Birdy has a spitting contest but is caught and locked in her room.
- She tried running away from her new suitor, shaggy beard; but that did exactly work either.

- Catherine gets hurt because of arguing with her father again.

- June 22nd is flea catching day! You can imagine what happens.

- Soon her mother gets sick because she is pregnant.
- While her father is taking care of her mother she goes to the fair with Morwenna and sees a bear she has to rescue.
- Fine!
- I'll give you the bear if you give me the coins.
- The baby was born on September 4th.
- When Catherine got home from her aunt's house, she found out that her suitor, Shaggy Beard had died in a fight.
- YAY!!!!! no shaggy bearded pig!!!:) :):)
