- When my father passed he had a dying wish. That dying wish is that I would marry whoever passes the Casket test. There will be three caskets, Gold, Silver and Lead. Each will have an inscription that will lead my suitor to the correct casket. If my suitor chooses wrong they must leave immediately, not tell anyone which casket they chose , and never get married. If he chooses correctly my picture will be inside and we will be wed.
- Portia is the wealthy heiress who is bound to her fathers will which is a test to see who belongs with Portia set up by her father. Portia Lives in Venice with her lady in waiting Nerissa.

- I chose the gold casket because Portia is a very beautiful woman who many men desire! This means that since many men desire her then her picture will be in the gold casket

- Gold
- Lead
- "Who Chooseth me shall gain what many men desire"
- This is the prince of Morocco, he chooses the gold casket because he believes that Portia's Picture must be inside because many men desire her. He is wrong and does not marry Portia
- Slide: 3
- I choose the Silver casket because I believe that I deserve you fair lady! I assume that I do deserve you my dear Portia. I would like the key to the silver casket please.

- "Who chooseth me shall get as much as he deserves."
- This is the Prince of Arragon . He chooses the silver casket because he believes that he deserves Portia, The Prince of Arragon is very wrong. Portia's father exclaims in the note that he is crazy to think that he deserves his daughter.
