- Alexander Hamilton was born in the west indies. He has an older brother named James who was named after his father. His father and mother names are James and Rachel Hamilton. When Alexander was eleven years old an epidemic broke out in the side of the west indies that he lived in. Alexander and his mom Rachel both came down with a fever. Alexander Hamilton’s mother died after three weeks.

- A merchant named Thomas Stevens and his wife Ann asked Alexander Hamilton to live with them. Alexander agreed to live with them,and he later became friends with one of the Steven's son named Edward who was almost the same age as Alexander. Alexander and Edward both shared a similar dream. When Edward got older, he went to college in America. Alexander would write letters to Edward telling him about his dreams and how he wished that there was a war. When Alexander became older, he went to New York. Soon after arriving he visited his friend Edward Stevens. Alexander wanted to go to college, but he had to go to a preparatory school first before he could attend college.Alexander was to attend the Elizabeth town academy in New Jersey.
- Alexanders oldest son Philip died when he dueled with someone that spoke out against his father. When a man named Aron Burr ran for governor of New York, Alexander did not think that he was worthy, They started sending letters to each other and eventually settled their differences with a duel. On the day of the duel, to shots were fired. Burrs shot arrived first,hitting Hamilton above his right hip. Hamilton fell to the ground. As he fell,Doctor Hosack rushed up to Hamilton. Hamilton fainted as he was carried back to the boat. He then took him to one of his friends house. later that day, Alexanders wife was called. She brought her children with her. Alexander looked at his children for one last time, then he passed away
- In August 1775, a British battleship sailed into New York harbor. The new Yorkers prepared themselves with cannon. Alexander Hamilton grabbed his musket. The citizens fired at the battleship, leaving holes in it. The battleship had finally retreated. Alexander became a patriot
- The New York citizens were waiting for the British to strike again, so they continued preparing. They built trenches and barricaded the east, west streets of the city. On July 12, the British attacked with a battleship and a frigate. The battleship and the frigate head west or the city and started attacking. Alexander and his men manned four large cannons and started firing.One of the cannons exploded and Alexander lost two of his men. The battleship and the frigate eventually turned back and went back to their harbor. On March 1, 1777, Alexander Hamilton was appointed aide-de-camp and promoted to lieutenant Colonel. During this time, Alexander Hamilton fell in love with a woman named Eliza. When Alexander proposed to her,she accepted. They then planned to have a wedding in December. On January,1782 Alexander went to Albany to see the birth of his first son. They named him Philip after Eliza’s father.
- Alexander Hamilton made a bank for people to go to. Many people did not trust banks and business communities in the North. Hamilton felt that it was important for the united states to mint its own currency. The U.S dollar replaced the British pound and Hamilton created coins such as the dime, penny,and half penny. In the summer of 1791, a woman named Moriah Reynolds when to Alexander and told him that she needed money. She told Alexander that her husband was cruel and unfaithful. Alexander was he blackmailed by Moriah's husband. Alexander published a ninety-five-page pamphlet telling the real reason for the blackmail an included a personal copy to Moriah Reynolds to prove it.
