- At the age of 30, Saint Ignatius got cannon balled during a battle against the French on the 20 1521. The injuries were severe, he broke one leg and the other one got wounded. He then went to hospital and when the French heard that a man had survived they rushed over and gave Inigo their own doctors as they were amazed that he survived

- Saint Ignatius had one broken leg and one wounded leg. He was in a lot of discomfort because they didn't have anaesthetic or any numbing pain back in the day. In his long recovery, he read the 'life of a saint' and the 'life of christ.' As he read the books he became a better man and wanted to be like Christ

- At the age of 33, Saint Ignatius went back to school in Paris. The kids laughed and were confused that an adult was at school, but Saint Ignatius didn't care. At the University of Paris he began school again, studying Latin grammar and literature, philosophy, and theology. He would spend a couple of months each summer begging in Flanders for the money he would need to support himself in his studies for the rest of the year.
