Trunk - used to reach food in high branches, allows the elephant to get food and water from the ground, and communication to warn others about potential threats
Ears - used to cool down elephants. Elephants live in very hot environments so they flap their giant ears to help cool the blood in their capillaries which spreads throughout the body
Tusks - used to dig into the ground, uncovering salts and other minerals that are necessary for their diets and for other food related purpose
Bathing - elephants squirt each other with water from their trunks that remove parasites off of their backs that they can't reach
The elephant's huge size makes it very difficult for predators to attack. Adult elephants are too big to attack by any predator animal
