Risk factors can include: exercise, smoking and air pollution.
Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease causing episodes of wheezing, breathlessness and tight chest. the lungs airways are obstructed.
To reduce the risk of triggering my asthma I have been eating healthy!

Obesity is a complex disease involving an excessive amount of body fat.
Ways to reduce the risk: medicine, inhalers, healthy diet and smoke-free household.
Severe cases can result in death, if not managed properly. Or can lead to other chronic diseases.

This disease can increase your risk of getting more severe diseases.
Young people are eating more foods high inn fat and sugar and doing less activity. 1/4 Australian children 5-17 years were overweight or obese.
Children with obesity are at risk of long term health issues, psychological and social problems such as discrimination and bullying.

Some protective factors to help reduce the risk of becoming obese are: playing sport regularly, healthy diet, being apart of sporting teams and less use of electronics.
Severe obesity can affect someone throughout their adult life and they may end up getting other diseases that lead to death, such as having a heart attack.
Young people need to learn about the risks of having lifestyle diseases, so they can prevent them from happening and enjoy a healthy life.
