Page 170: Victor is sitting in the lab one evening thinking back to the next card.
Three years ago...…
Page 171: Victor is thinking about creating a lady monster and how he shouldn't do it because it could be just as bad as the current one.
I'll never make a lady monster.
Ahhhh scary!
Page 172: The creature is inside of Victor's house.
"Slave, I before reasoned with you, but you haveproved yourself unworthy... Remember that I have power... You are my creator, but I am your master; obey!"
I chose this part of the book because it explains how the book got to where it is in the next few chapters (I am not sure if that makes sense).
Page 175: Victor returns to his old lab to pick up his equipment and any evidence of his experiment.
I chose this part because I think it is important. It shows that the monster is following Victor. It also allows the reader to understand Victor's thoughts on making a female version of the creature.
Page 175-176: Victor is on the beach cleaning his equipment and throwing the unused remains into the ocean to avoid someone finding the evidence of him being responsible for the monster.
I chose this scene because it shows the dominance that the creature think it has over Victor. It is also the only real interaction that Victor and the creature have in these chapters.
Page 200-201: Victor and Elizabeth are walking by a river and Victor remembers the cares and fears attached to Elizabeth.
And as I touched the shore I felt those cares and fears revive which soon were to clasp me and cling to me forever.
I chose this scene because it shows how Victor reacted to returning to the place that it all started. In this part of the book the reader can see how being there affected Victor.
I thought this scene should be included because Victor is throwing away the evidence and showing the reader that he does not intend on owning up to his mistakes anytime soon.
This part shows the reader how Victor feels about Elizabeth, that is why I included it.
What a divine day! How happy and serene all nature appears!
