  • Education Reform of the Early 1800sBy: Jake Kemp
  • Whats 9+10
  • The reason on why that the education reform was necessary is because many people could not afford education or a tutor to teach people and so most people couldn't even do basic things like math

  • The movement made public schools and gave teachers more pay and had people pay more taxes so that the schools could have better conditions and to pay the teachers the teachers also got a special school to be taught how to teach
  • Horace Mann was the founder of this movement and was called the father of public schools and had contributed towards building public schools everywhere and was eventually became state supervisor of education when he was a child he barely was able to go to public school and when he did he could only be there for a few weeks because he had to work on his families farm
  • though public schools were made many were not accepted in (like women and African Americans) and Horace eventually made a school for men and women so that everyone could get an education
  • Thanks though I should say the same for your contributions towards trying to let African Americans into schools
  • Horace and Prudence Crandall who attempted to let African American children into his school
  • Hello sir! I thank you for your contributions towards the education of the world
