  • What is it about?
  • Flourishing is distinct from, but related to, happiness for they both involve the pursuit of positive mental state. Flourishing is a state of being in which an individual is involved in life, achieving their goals, and feeling in control of their own well-being. Happiness can be viewed as a result and a condition of living right that occurs when an individual feels satisfied with life or the self.
  • Many factors can contribute to human flourishing, but one of the most important determinants of whether or not someone flourishes is where they are in relation to their goals. If someone is unable to achieve their objectives, it can be difficult for them to feel as if they are making progress toward happiness.
  • The good life is a way of life that makes people happy. It is a happy, pleasurable, and satisfying way of life. A good life entails more than just having positive emotions; it also entails being content with yourself and your life. Happiness and human flourishing result from this satisfaction.

  • In order to flourish and to be happy, each man must select values, place them in a hierarchy, and strive to attain them. A person must experience many aspects of reality in order to discover values that are proper for him and that interest and inspire him. A person decides to live a particular type of life because he sees the value of it.
