- A circumcision is done baby boys to remove their foreskin. Normally it's done shortly after birth!
- Hi Mr and Mrs jones, You have a beautiful baby boy. Now it's time for his circumcision!
- Oh no, I don't think we want to do that. Wont it hurt our baby?
- Why do we need to do that?
- Mr.Jones, your baby needs this done because it makes that area easier to clean, and it helps prevent UTI's, STI's, and cancer!
- Mrs. Jones, your baby will be given an anesthetic and pain medicine, he wont feel a thing!
- I understand, I too am circumcised.
- But aren't there risks?
- In this case most of them will resolve themselves with proper care if they do occur!
- Mrs. Jones, There are risks with every surgery. The risks here are low. They include bleeding and irritation.
- Honey, everything turned out just fine for me. I think we should do it.
- Well do i have to decide right now?
- If you wait it can cause more risk and more pain, especially in adulthood.
- It is recommending that the circumcision be done as soon as possible after birth.
- Well okay, i guess.
- Lets go ahead and do it honey!
