- Cell Transportation is the movement of materials across cell membranes. It includes passive and active transport requires energy to proceed.
- Simple Diffusion is the movement of molecules/solutes from the region of higher solute concentration through the membrane.
- Facilitated Diffusion is a type of passive transport that does NOT require energy to move molecules down their concentration gradient.
- Active Transportation is the movement of ions or molecules across a cell membrane into a region of higher concentration, assited by enzymes and requiring energy.
- Osmosis is the movement of water or other solvent through a plasma membrane from a region of low solute concentration to a region of high solute concentration. It it also a Passive Transport.
- why am i here?
- Some examples of Cell Transportaion include the diffusion of oxygen and carbon dioxide, osmosis of water, and facilitated diffusion. Active transport requires the cell to spend energy, usually in the form of ATP.
