Once Silas recuperates everything he lost, he returns to Lantern Yard with Eppie to see if his innocence was ever restored. When they arrive at Lantern Yard, they find that it is gone. When Silas and Eppie return to Raveloe, Eppie marries Aaron Winthrop, and they all live in Silas's cottage.
