  • Opening scene- (Voice over) 911 someone reporting a incident “My koro has just fallen in off the bridge in the river in the mangamuka gorge” says the moko 911- “Someone should be there in 10-15 minutes.” “Is he breathing?” “NO!” “ Im going to stay online with you and you tell me if anything changes, ok?” “That’s good!”
  • Scene 2- Moko talking to nan about how papa fell in the water. *moko runs home to tell nan about the incident* “ Nan, nan, nan where are you?” “In the sitting room? Whats wrong? Where is koro?” “That’s what I need to talk to you about! We were at the bridge in the gorge and he bent over to pick something up and then he lost balance and fell in the river.” “Then what happen?” *He bursted into tears and dropped to his knees!*“He’s in the hand of the atua now!”*they then both left and made their way to the scene*
  • Scene 3- Break to reporter/kata in the news room. Kata “Kia ora we have just received some devastating news from the iwi of waikato who are in a mourning state as Kingi Potatau Te Wherowhero has sadly passed away last night.i will now hand it over to Hine who is with the family at this present time.
  • Scene 4 – Nan talks about her dream. “A dream of death. He came to me in the dream, not sadly but smiling. With hand on heart and said “I go but do not weep. No weeping it is my time.” She then awoke in the night to sadness on her face from the dream, and while she was waiting an fantail rested above her head and she said to the fantail “GO!” He does not come with you tonight he is well and strong. His time is not here, the fantail cried and its call went out and out till tears ran down my face.
  • Hine scene: Tena koe mo tena Kata, yes, it is a very sad day not just for the family but for the whole of te iwi maori. I am now here with one of the kuia manaaki kahui ariki. “Tena koe whaea, what does this week look like from now onwards?” “Kia ora, so as we all know we have received the bad news of the passing of our beloved koro, we are hoping to have him back with us by tomorrow and will be lying in state for 4 days and will be layed to rest upon Taupiri maunga.” “Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou e noho ana I raro I te kapua pouri. Hei kona.”
