- The overall competition between France and Great Britain was to be the winner who gained the West Indies Canada along with dominating lucrative colonial trade.

- NO! WE WANT TO EXPAND OUR COLONIES WESTWARD!
- The British (red) believed that the French (blue) were responsible for provoking the French Indian war due to them wanting to build forts, creating Fort Duquense, to stop British colonization westward. As a result, the British came and attacked with a small militia of soldiers, which sparked the war.

- The Albany Plan of Union was made up of representatives from several colonies to meet in congress at Albany, New York, in 1754 for coordinating colonial defense. During the meeting the Albany Plan was formed b Benjamin Franklin and provided an intercolonial government system for recruiting troops and collecting taxes.
