Ralph Bennet yawned widely realizing how cold it was. It was as cold as these days had been. A knife grinder was in town for the Winter Fair. He had been drinking late in night. Then he heard Mrs Harbledown who didn't care of him more than a slave called him.
D-did yo see the knife grinder?
Just clean the rooms. We have more guests coming.
The pigs held themselves back. ''Not hugry then'' he said. Usually the pigs were butting the back of is legs. 'Well I'm hugry even if you're not.' he tought. Reaching for their food.
How did you get in?
He saw a long ribbon of material. He held it up waving to the pigs. When he was about to empty today's food he noticed some small yellowish pebbles in the bottom. For some reason they alerted him He gathered them and noticed that they were not pebbels. They were human teeth.
I-ı just wanted to look after it for you sir.
You try to touch this box again, it'll be worse for you.
When Ralph entered the room he saw Mrs Habledown and Fingers talking, laughing with eacthother. Fingers was wearing green jacket which was worn by the knife grinder yesterday. When he asked where the knife girnder was Mrs harbledown just poked his chest and told him to clean the room for more guests.
Ralph jumped at the sound. A girl about his age was standing behind him. She told hem she was the niece of the knife grinder. When Ralph heard that he quickly told her that her uncle left early and she should goas well. The girl said her name was Myrtle. She asked a few questions about her uncle and left. After talking with Myrtle he decided to go away. he couldn't stay there any longer.
There was a newcomer. A man named A. P. Doran. The man reached under his coat and took a black box out. Mrs Habledown told Ralph to take Mr A. P. Doran to the attick room. But while all those were happening Ralph was forming a plan in his head he could steal the box and sell it. He attemped to steal it but he got caught. Mr Doran warned him not to touch the box.
