What I need (or the reactants) is light energy, water, carbon dioxide and chlorophyll. If I have all these things, and I can continue through my process. I end up with (the products) glucose (sugar), oxygen and water.
Hi! I'm Photosynthesis, and I'm going to tell you what I do. I capture light energy from the sun and convert it to chemical energy of food. I nourish almost all the living world directly or indirectly.
Chlorophyll is the green pigment in the plant.

There are two stages in which photosynthesis occurs. That's the Light Reactions and the Calvin Cycle.
Light reactions are steps that convert energy from the sun to make ATP and NADPH. Those supply chemical energy and reducing power.
The Calvin Cycle incorporates CO2 into organic molecules that are converted to sugar.
The Light Reactions take place on thylakoids and the Calvin Cycle occurs in the stroma.
