- I don't know, continue keeping the fire going with your mind.
- what does that have to do with magic?
- Eragon finds a blue dragon egg, which hatches into a dragon named Sephira. Eragon is told he will become a Dragon rider and stop the Tyrant king Galbatorix.
- Belly of the Whale
- Eragon could not accept it and ran away from Sephira. When he got home he found Ra'zac, under the rule of Galbatorix, had murdered his Uncle and burned his home. Eragon swore vengeance on the Ra'zac and Galbatorix.
- Road of Trials
- Quickly we need to fly NOW!
- Eragon takes with him on his journeys Brom, a weaver of stories from his town with knowledge on everything Eragon needs to protect himself and defeat the Ra’zac, who starts to teach him the ways of dragon riding and magic.
- Meeting the Goddess
- There she is. I need to save her!
- The three are near the city of Dras-Leona when they are attacked by the Ra'zac, failing to find the revenge that Eragon seeks. They were rescued by a stranger named Murtagh. Eragon and Sephira survive, but Brom was hurt and soon dies. Before he dies, he reveals that he was once a Dragon Rider but betrayed like others and his dragon slain. Brom reveals himself a member of Varden.
- No Brom don't leave me!! You were the dad I never had.
- He's gone Eragon. I'm sorry.
- On the way to the Varden, Eragon, Murtagh, and Sephira were met with many challenges including being chased by enemies, and crossing a day wide river.
- Eragon had been having dreams of a beautiful Elf woman named Arya, who was a prisoner. Eragon saves her and she continues to talk to him in dreams as she is in a coma slowly dying.
