- Either on or after your 16th birthday, you can take your knowledge test. (A 50 questionmultiple choice test) which you need to get 40/50 in order to pass before you receive your license.
- After you write your exam, you will be given your L sticker which needs to be visible on the back of your car at all times.
- N
- You must drive under supervision of someone 25 years or older with a valid class 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 license and no driving between midnight and 5am for 12 months before you can take your class 7 test to achieve your N license.
- After you've had your L for 12 months you can take your class 7 drivers test in order to upgrade to a N license.
- After taking the test, you'll be given your N license. This means you can drive without supervision, and have one other person in the car with you whether hey have their license or not. Your N is also displayed on the back of your car.
- You must have your N and be driving safe for 2 years before you can test to get your full license
