- onians revolt against the Persians who conquered them. Athens send ships in to aid the Ionians. Athens saw the Ionians as family. Darius the Great (Persian King) defeats revolt and vows to defeat Athens.
- 300 Spartans
- Angry that the Athenians helped the Ionians the Persians go on the attack. 10,000 Athenians wait for 25,000 Persian men, the Athenians win, Persians go to Athens,
- Narrow Pass
- Pheidippidas runs 26.2 miles to tell the Athenians in Athens that they won and the Persians are coming, Athens successfully defends and defeat the Persians.
- Dalian league
- Xerxes comes to a narrow pass, Greeks block the way, Greeks stopped attack for three day 300 Spartans stayed back to hold off Persians while other Greeks retreat. every Spartan dies
- Athens abandons city to fight in the sea in a narrow pass, Xerxes ships were too big to maneuver so Athenian ships rammed Persian ships. Athens wins
- Greece bands together in case of other attacks. City states end up feeling more confident and Athens leads Delian League. With this new power Athens abuses their power for more wealth and power.
