  • You are walking towards a traffic light and spot an old lady holding a white cane waiting by the roadside. The light turns green for pedestrians but there is no audible signal. The old lady remains still.
  • Ignore her and cross the road on your own.
  • Grab her arm without warning and lead her across.
  • Gently tap her on the shoulder to inform her the light is green and ask if she needs assistance.

  • You are at the canteen and notice Dylan, a classmate with special needs, being bullied and teased by your friends.

  • Guys, stop it! Making fun of someone, especially because of their special needs, is hurtful and not funny. Dylan deserves the same respect as anyone else.
  • You have made the right choice! When you see a classmate with special needs being bullied, staying silent can make the situation worse. When you speak up in a firm but respectful way, you send a strong message that bullying is not acceptable and all students, including those with special needs, deserves to be treated with respect.
