- Enforcing trade laws. The british needed new revenue from the french and indian war the british therefore taxed the colonist on goods then the colonist started smuggling goods whitch let to the british to seach almost anything including private homes offices and businesses
- The boston massacre the boston massacre was when english soldiers shot at colonial civilians
- The sugar act. the british taxed sugar the colonist payed the taxed instead of smuggling.
- The boston tea party. This has to do with the tea tax the colonist told the british to go back to england the british did not go back so the colonist dressed up as indians and dumped the tea in the harbor
- The stamp act It was a tax on documents and paper just for a stamp. colonist got very angry and protested and thought they had no representation

- townshed acts. Theses taxes includes glass, lead paint, paper, and tea the colonist fought back in big way by boycotting most of the british goods and smuggling in there own
