Storyboard Text

  • Then we put inside of each circle the number that are shown in the question, we just have to make sure that we don't put more than one time the information. Outside of the circles but still inside of the rectangle we put the number of people or things that were not included. There is an example!
  • There are 10 students in class, of which 5 play soccer, 3 like basketball, and 2 like both. Draw a Venn Diagram with the information given.
  • Okay, I got it now! That was it, we finished!
  • That's because all probabilities have to add to 1, and if they don't, we have to add all of them and with the answer we look how far it is from 1 to find the missing probability!
  • 1 2 3 4 5 X .3 .2 .1 .1
  • .3 + .2 + .1 + .1 = .71 - .7 = .3
  • Now it is very clear, thank you for explaining! Now let's start with binomial distributions!
  • And how do we know when it is a binomial distribution?
  • 1 2 3 4 5 X .3 .2 .1 .1
  • .3 + .2 + .1 + .1 = .71 - .7 = .3
  • It is very simple, you just have to use BINS!
