- Jalen DeLuca is in love with baseball, but there is one problem. He doesn't have enough money to join the travel team...but he DOES have a plan!
- "Are you ready?" asks Daniel. "Yea, I'm ready, but I am really nervous. James Yager is my hero. What if he finds out?" replies Jalen. "He wont find out! Calm down!"
- Daniel and Jalen approach James Yager's house. The house is a brick mansion it is amazing! Jalen climbs over the wall and hits the ground hard. He sees at least 100 baseballs in a bucket.
- Jalen grabs the baseballs and makes a run for it! Two black, scary, massive dogs are after him!
- He reaches the wall and guess who's behind him? The one and only James Yager!
- "I'll make you a deal kid . I'll give you those baseballs if you could help ME out," said James Yager. " ME? What could I possibly do for YOU?" "You see, if I don't get three hits this season, I'm toast!"
- Jalen meets James Yager out on the stadium for the first game. Jalen has been known for seeing what pitches are coming and he signals to James Yager.
- James Yager goes 4 for 4! Jalen comes through!
- Jalen is so excited and proud, but he is sad his friend Daniel couldn't make it. Jalen reached down and grabbed some dirt. This will surely make him feel better.
- Jalen heads home with the dirt in his bottle. He goes home to rest for tomorrow's game, but first he puts the bottle on his dresser .
- The next morning he wakes up, grabs the bottle, and heads out.
- As he's walking into the stadium he hears, "Hey kid! Get back here!" Jalen stands there stunned.
- "Yay! we did it, Jalen! Wait... where did Jalen go?"
- You did it! Good job!
- "The dirt you took from the field...you can't do that! It's illegal! You come with me so I can report you." Jalen wonders how he's ever going to help James!
- While sitting in the office, Daniel FaceTimes Jalen and tells Jalen what's happening in the game. Jalen tells Daniel what pitch is coming and Daniel is able to tell James Yager.
- James Yager hits the ball and gets a grand slam! His career is saved! James Yager gives Jalen the money he needed for the travel team.
