Storyboard Text

  • Hello there! I am going to talk about the laws of media and the ethical procedures for media forms, follow me in this knowledge adventure
  • Public service broadcasting, which is provided by organisations like the BBC, and commercial broadcasting are the two kinds of broadcast media in the United Kingdom (produced by private media companies such as ITV).Public service broadcasters like the BBC do not have private owners or shareholders since they are supported by licence fees paid by everyone who watches live television.
  • Many different types of creative works, including musical compositions or songs, lyrics, records poems, books, films, TV shows, computer software, and even advertisements, are protected by copyright laws. A work must meet three requirements in order to be covered by copyright: First be original, which means it was not plagiarised from another source; secondly be fixed in a tangible medium of expression, which means it must be in some sort of reasonably stable or permanent form so that someone can perceive and reproduce it; and finally exhibit a minimum level of creativity.
  • The rights of the owner include:- reproduce the work- distribute copies- perfrom work publicly- Make derivative works - Display the work
  • Sampling Sampling occurs when a portion of a prior recording is incorporated into a newrecording. The song itself, which is typically owned by the songwriter or the songwriter's publishing firm, as well as the sound recording, which is typically owned by the record label, are both violated when an existing recording is sampled without authorization. Both the copyright holder of the underlying musical piece and the copyright holder of the sound recording must provide their consent for a sample to be used legally.
  • For my music video and dealing with copyright I will do the next things:-Show what song is and who made it at the start of the video-Show the artist and record of who did the song at the end of the video- Give details of who made the song throughout the video
