We must build a wooden horse to get into Troy.
Burn down the city and defeat the Trojans.
In order to gain entry into the city of Troy, Odysseus and his men make a giant wooden horse, big enough for them to hide in.
We must get back on the boat and continue our journey.
We should stay here forever.
The Trojans thought that the horse was a trophy for defeating Odysseus, so they wheeled it into the city with the Greeks inside.
We deserve a gift because we are visitors to your island.
After the Trojans celebrated and were passed out from all of the food they ate, Odysseus and his men jumped out of the horse and attacked.
Force the stake into his eye.
The next part of Odysseus' journey led him to the land of the Lotus Eaters. After they eat the lotus, Odysseus and his men forget about their journey home.
Odysseus lands on the island of Sicily and home of the Cyclopes. Odysseus and his men were exploring the cave of Polyphemus when he arrived back to his cave. Once Polyphemus realizes Odysseus was in his cave, he began eating his men whole.
Odysseus give Polyphemus potent wine to drink, and he drinks so much he passes out. Odysseus then directs his men to drive a large wooden stake into the cyclopes eye in order to blind him.
