- The hunters, Whitney and Rainsford are on a hunting trip and Whitney explains to Rainsford he wants to pass this misterious island as quickly as posible.

- Rainsford hears and gunshot that scares him and he dropped his pipe he loses balence trying to catch it and falls into the sea.

- He comes across this huge house he thought was a town. He was greated at the door with a guy with a gun and refuses to let him in until general zaroff comes and welcomes him into his home.
- resolution
- General Zaroff explains that he knows rainsfors from his hunting books and was a fan. He then goes into explanation on how hes a hunter as well and hunts his own special prey. He explains that he hunts humans that he traps on the island with the lighthouse. Then he gave Rainsford a choice he can choose to be hunted or get killed on the spot,,,
- He wanted to get hunted so he has 3 full days to hide from and if Zaroff does not find him in those 3 days he wins and does not die. Rainsford almost died the fist night when he was hiding ina tree and zaroff decideed to give him another chance. He made a trap and killed one of Zaroffs hunting dogs aswell.
- Rainsford was abble to sneek into his house on tthe last night and find a gun and shoot zaroff. Rainsford had won was able to go and live a good life once again.
