- Kids, come downstairs, dad and I have a surprise for you! And get your masks!
- This is Emily and Charlie. Emily is 8, while Charlie is 10. Although, many people think that because they look so similar, the two are twins! However, Emily and Charlie couldn't be more different. Emily loves playing with her Barbie dolls and being creative. While Charlie loves playing video games, especially Among Us! But, what the siblings don't know is that their parent's have a surprise for them!
- Thank you Bubbie and Pop-Pop! Bye!
- Charlie and Emily were excited, and also confused. A surprise? What could it be? A new video game, some new toys?
- Okay!
- Why don't we go to the backyard, and show you your presents!
- As the kids raced down the stairs, eager to see their surprise, they were shocked when they saw what it was!
- Well, smart girl, by not addressing slavery verbally, although the Constitution is clearly talking about slavery makes slavery a more powerful part of our American society because it shows what our Nation was built on. People who were more afraid of ruining their reputation that protecting those around them. And by not addressing slavery, the Founding Fathers are making an even bigger deal out of it. Which is good in the sense that slavery is getting the attention it needs. To be stopped. But, if everyone saw how the rulers of our country were acting about slavery they might do that as well. And slavery would have never been stopped.
- Sorry Bubbie one last question. How did the Constitution make slavery a more powerful part of American society?
- After months, and months of quarantining, Emily and Charlie got to see their grandparents! They were so excited to see them! Not only because they always bring fun presents but they also haven't seen them in over 10 months!
