- We have five months now of working over time hours but I have received no pay. Is it the same story with you?
- Definately the same story too. I am tired of even thinking about it at this point.
- I know this meeting is uncalled for but i wanted us to address the issue we have of salaries. If it is not overtime, then it is maternity leave salary. Without panicking, maybe we should figure a way forward.
- I am currently at the office but i will be there to sort it out.
- The employees are very angry about their salary. They have not been paid their overtime salaries, some ladies have been on maternity leave but have not received any pay.
- Yes!
- I understand that you guys want to opt for a strike but we have to look at the disadvantages first and a way to solve it without any negative consequences.
- What makes the matter worse is that we tried dealing with it internally first.
- I say lets strike!
- They decided to hold a meeting amongst themselves to address the issues they have in order to know whether they need to involve a third party, being the shop steward or they can deal with it internally.
- The least that can be done is for the employees to be informed. I will definately follow up on this matter. It is unacceptable.
- This matter is laready being resolved. We had a financial issue as a business but we are recovering.
- They decided to include a third party as the manager was not coming up with concrete solutions.
- I am glad that they are doing something about it. But I was honestly looking forward to that strike!
- Having someone to step in for us makes things so much easier. We got our pay and things are still normal at work. I am so relieved.
- The shop steward came to the workplace and held a meeting to fully understand the issues they have and determine a way forward.
- The shop steward decided to mediate the situation by firstly having a word with the manager.
- A conclusion was reached and the outcome was communicated with the employees, which were very happy with the promised change.
