- Wow, the fact that you kept the promise to the end speaks highly of you.
- And what about you Henry, what was your experience to believe in war?
- I gave one of the most popular speeches in U.S. history.
- In my case, the war became practically impossible to avoid.
- In my speech, what I was looking for was to open everyone's eyes and make them realize that without a fight we would never have freedom.
- They were taking advantage of us.
- Great Britain was treating us unfairly, forcing us to pay heavy taxes and sending in the British Army to intimidate us.
- I know how that feels and in part I understand you.
- From my perspective war was the only way out.
- We had already tried everything and the only thing we got was humiliation.
- If our desire was to be free we had to take the necessary measures.
- But for me, give liberty or give me death because I couldn't continue living the same way.
- Some were in favor of going to war and others wanted to negotiate to avoid it.
- I see how you managed to convince them, your way of expressing yourself inspires a lot of confidence.
