Storyboard Text

  • Hello, gentleman. I am Sir Patrick Henry. It’s not my intention to interrupt, but I’ve found myself lost. Would you be so kind as to help me find my way to Clearwater?
  • I will accompany you all the way, white man, as I wish to maintain peace between us.I am Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce.
  • More than peace, I would owe you my gratitude. You´re reading, are you not ?
  • Interesting! What would those ideals be?
  • I am, this book was a gift. The main character’s ideals do not align with my own, but it shows me a different perspective.
  • I see, butwhat´s the pointof living if you aren´t truly free? What´s the point if you liveunder subjugation andsuffering?
  • Well! if we speak about freedom, I would say that I value it above all else, even life.
  • the character has put all his people in danger to achieve freedom, which contradicts my opinions completely.
  • Personally, I don´t believe freedom is worth lives. I’d prefer to live in submission than not live at all.
  • I understand your point of view. However, I don’t think it’s worth risking everything you have, which is why I avoid war at all costs. Peace and the lives of my people go above everything else, if you ask me.
  • I would rather fight than live in submission for an artificial peace. War is justified if it is for freedom. Casualties are noble sacrifices in the name of justice.
  • Why sacrifice irreplaceable lives? The people trust you to ensure their safety. A noble sacrifice is giving up the material, lands and services, and working harder to prolongue peace and avoid irreparable losses or unnecessary coflicts.
  • I believe living in slavery for the sake of the “peace” you mention is not woth it. I will sacrifice anything, including my life and other´s lives, if it means we can live better. Truly live, because right know we’re surviving.
