- When many people think about agriculture, they only think about farming. Farming is a huge part of agriculture, but there is so much more to it!
- Agriculture includes working with trees to create lumber, paper, and pulp! This is called forestry. Forestry also includes the management of trees!
- It includes Food Science! Which studies the chemical make-up of food and helps to improve quality and safety. You can even create new flavors within food science!
- It includes animal science! Animals science provides opportunities to work directly with animals or to work with products that come from animals
- Agriculture even includes plant science! People in plant science study plants and how they impact our world.
- Agriculture includes many more careers and programs of study that weren't even mentioned! If you enjoy farming; working with plants, animals, or food; working on machinery; working outdoors; working in an applied science setting or selling products that relate to any of these things, agriculture has an for you!
