- On the way to invade
- Harold Godwinson Marches north
- Harald Hardrada makes a mistake
- Oh no we forgot our armor on the ships what shall we do sir?
- It’s ok let’s just rest
- Harald Hardrada invaded England form Norway with ten thousand men, because he was furious that Harold Godwinson got the crown and he didn’t. So he sailed with 300 ships.
- Battle on the bridge!
- As soon as Harold Godwinson found out that Harald Hardrada was invading, he immediately gathered all his soldiers and marched 180 miles. He gathered the Fyrd. The Fyrd are not full time soldiers like the Housecarls the Housecals are well armed and they are full time soldiers.
- Hardrada DIES!!
- Harald Hardada made 2 mistakes.HE FORGOT ALL OF THE SOLDIERS ARMOR ON THE SHIP!!! And him and his army split up. These mistakes are really important because because you can’t fight without armor and you are stronger with more people.
- Victory was cut short…
- It’s ok let’s just rest.
- The English army had gotten on the bridge but little did they know there was a axmen there waiting for them ,SO THE FOUGHT. And thankfully the we’re able to kill him, and cross the bridge. The battle had BEGUN.
- Harold Godwinson and Harald Hardrada started to fight!!! BLOOD EVERYWHERE SWORDS ON THE GROUND AROWS BEING SHOT and on of the Fyrd soldiers shot an arrow right in Hardrada’s throat leaving him dead.
- The English army were heading home to celebrate there victory. But there celebration was cut short because William Duke of Normandy came to fight for the throne DUN DUN DUN……
