- Every 38 seconds, someone is arrested for cannabis.
- You're under arrest for possession of marijuana. You have the right to remain silent....
- Hey! What do you think you're doing?!
- The number of arrests for marijuana possession has risen sharply since 1980, surpassing arrests for violent crimes by more than 100,000.
- Globally, between 125 to 200 million people use marijuana in the course of one year.
- The United States spends 8 billion dollars every year to enforce the prohibition of marijuana. These are OUR tax paying dollars. This is money that we could be spending on public education or even health care.
- Let's look at Colorado... They made 70 million dollars in tax revenue in only the first year that cannabis was legalized.
- Cannabis doesn't just bring in a lot of money through taxes, it also has tons of medical benefits including relief from appetite loss and chronic pain.
- Cannabis oil is used to treat sever epilepsy, as it has been proven to stop seizures in children.
- It has also been shown to help with anxiety, depression, muscle spasms, sleeping disorders, HIV/AIDS, and glaucoma. The list goes on and on.
- Cannabis is even known to relieve nausea in cancer patients, helping them to eat more.
- You can help fight against this war on marijuana. Contact your local government and tell them about all the benefits of cannabis.
- Tell them that you are tired of your tax dollars being spent on incarcerating people who were not causing any harm.
- Call into your local radio station today to help spread the word.
- Educate the public and dispel the myths. Marijuana isn't a gateway drug, and 420 isn't the only number we care about.
