  • The macrophage travels to the bloodstream moving to the lymph nodes after engulfing infected cell with bacteria. After engulfing the bacteria, macrophages displays the antigen attached to their MHCII molecules. This is when the adaptive immune system starts to respond to the foreign pathogen.
  • In the lymph nodes is where the macrophages are going to be inspected by the helper T-cell and T-cell receptors. T- cells are produced in the bone marrow and mature in the thymus gland .
  • Tell me, what weapons were they carrying?
  • T-cell helpers activates the cloning of millions of cytotoxic T-cells and memory T-cells by secreting cytokines such as interleukin-2. Cytotoxic T-cells response in creating many copies of themselves and make direct contact to the infected cells and destroy pathogen (bacteria). Memory T-cells remain in the body and when re-exposed to the same type of pathogen they generate the same cytotoxic T-cells.
  • I will prepare the weapons and our soldiers and alert neighbouring Kingdom to help us.
  • And I will find more information about where they came from and who they are serving.
  • Cytotoxic T-cells release specific chemicals that matches the bacteria and destroy infected cells as well as the bacteria inside. The chemicals released by the cytotoxic T-cells also increases inflammation and drawing the attentions of the macrophages and phagocytosis.
