  • Some signs a person is using valium are dilated pupils, shaking, slurred speech, impaired coordination, changes in appetite, and uncharacteristic sadness, as well as irritability.
  • Wow, that sounds very scary. how could I identify if someone is using valium so I could get them help?
  • Yes it does, Valium is actually a prescription drug used to treat anxiety symptoms, alcohol withdrawal, muscle spasms, and can also be used as a sedative before surgery. To be used properly a medical professional would have to prescribe it. Otherwise you would be abusing the drug.
  • Does Valium have any medical uses?
  • Valium was actually the most prescribed drug in America for over 13 years. Valium was also the first drug to reach 1 billion dollars in sales.
  • Is there any thing else interesting you can tell me, Mom?
  • Katie's mother explains common symptoms that occur when someone is using and abusing valium so Katie knows what to look for to get someone the help they need. Some more symptoms to look out for include drowsiness, weakness, blurred vision, seizures, skin rash, irregular heartbeat, confusion, dizziness, and slowed breathing.
  • I am glad that you understand the dangers of drug abuse and how drugs can change your life in terrible ways. I am also glad I could educate you so that you can use this information to make good choices.

  • Katie's mother explains that valium has medical benefits if used properly and with a prescription. Valium is marketed as a prescription drug used for medical purposes, but people found a way to get their hands on it and abuse it, which can cause many problems.
  • Katie wanted to know a couple more facts about valium so her mother told her about the drugs huge popularity within the medical industry and how much money was spent on the drug which surprised Katie and also made her sad because she knew about the dangers of the drug and how it was sad that it was such a big industry which was constantly gaining profits.

  • Katie learned a lot from her mother about valium and this new information will help her make good choices. Her mother is glad that she could guide her daughter and keep her informed because she knows that ignorance often leads to bad decisions.
