Storyboard Description
DeeDee Robbins has been a uniformed officer with the Austin Police Department for ten years. She graduated with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice, completed the police academy, field training and all the required exams. She is 34 years old, and has put in for a promotion as a homicide detective with the department.

- All those trainings and all the exams! I knew one day it would be worth it!
- What?? Thank you, Boss!
- Robbins, with your degree in Criminal Justice, your faithful years here with the Austin PD, and your completed field training, I am promoting you to Homicide Detective.
- Look! There's two cell phones! Maybe one is the perp's. I'll bag them as evidence.
- Looks to have been strangled by his own scarf.
- Victim is a young adult male, early twenties.
- We'll ID him and notify his family.
- I'm Detective DeeDee Robbins. We're so sorry to have to tell you that your son Alex...
- None of my trainings prepared me for this. Neither did the exams.
- Yes! Let's go get our suspect!
- Finally after weeks of waiting we got a hit on the fingerprints on the second cell phone we found at the scene. William Wade.
- I'll get the witness statements.
- Be careful, Robbins. Suspect will most likely be armed
- As the lead on the case, I'll go with DeeDee to Mr. Wade's residence.
- Wade will have no qualms about taking a shot at you. He's got nothing to lose.
- He's got a gun, DeeDee!
- It's over Wade! Drop your weapon and get on the ground!
- William Wade, you're under arrest for the murder of Alex Hamm!
- Alright! I confess. I saw him waiting for the bus and I just saw red. I mean, he was seeing my ex-girlfriend! I came up behind him and strangled him. He put up a fight and that's when I dropped my cell. I didn't realize it was missing until later but you guys had already found it.
- Mr. Wade is behind bars where he belongs. Great job, team! DeeDee, what a great start to your career as a Homicide detective.
