- Did you know that human impact on our environment has affected earth in many ways
- Really, how?
- Well one way human impact has affected earth can be seen right behind me. This picture shows harmful gases being released into the atmosphere. This is known as pollution.
- Do these harmful gases affect us right after being released into the atmosphere?
- Well pollution can affect us both short term and long term. Some short term affects are muddy landscapes, poison soils and poisoned waterways. One long term affect is the exposure to pollution on the human body which can lead to chronic respiratory disease, lung cancer and other diseases.
- Wow, and that's only one human impact on our enviroment?
- Yes, that's not even taking into account of overpopulation, burning fossil fuels, and deforestation.
- wow thats crazy.
- In fact, many studies have showed that since the Industrial revolution there has been an 47% increase in Co2 in the atmosphere and it is still rapidly going up.
- So human's really do have an impact on our earth's enviroment.
- For this reason we all need to take better care of our environment. Even if its something small like not littering or driving your car in eco-mode.
- From now on I'm going to make sure to do my part in making the world a more environmentally better place
