  • Farmer Jones and his men attempt to recapture the farm, but snowball made plans and they successfully defended it. Snowball was then awarded Animal Hero, First Class. This is an allegory for the October Revolution.
  • Snowball thought that there should be a windmill so that they could have lights. He drew plans for it on the floor of the barn. This is an allegory for all of the things Trotsky did to try to industrialize Russia.
  • This is where we will put the windmill.
  • Napoleon whistled and 9 large dogs came out and chased Snowball away. He was never seen again. This is an allegory for the KGB and Trotsky being exiled.
  • Napoleon gets on a raised platform and makes many changes, including taking away the Sunday meeting, which makes him in complete rule, and no one says anything about it. This is an allegory for Stalin taking over.
  • Even after being against it the whole time Snowball was there, he decided to build the windmill and told them that the windmill was his idea all along. This is an allegory for industrialization.
  • The windmill blew over in the night due to a lack of structural support, but Napolean blamed Snowball for it and tells them that he has been coming in the night and causing mischief. This is an allegory for all of the lies Stalin told the members of the Soviet Union, to male them hate Lenin and Trotsky.
