- You look lovely tonight, my girl.
- I know, Mother.
- Oh- well- I know I shouldn't- alright, then.
- Good evening, sir. What is your name?
- Yes- oh- goodness- how did you know?
- My name is Henry. And I gather you are Annette?
- Just by perception. Would you care for a dance?
- Good evening, my lady.
- A week later...
- Oh, Henry! It's- it's nothing.
- Of course it is. She hates me now- just for dancing with you.
- What is the matter, my lady?
- Well, the last thing I want in the world is for you to be upset, Annette. I will talk to her.
- Nonsense. Is it your mother?
- Your ladyship, please hear me out.
- It is about Annette, your ladyship.
- Very well, then.
- What about her? That foolish girl disobeyed me, and that is the end of it.
