- Jonah was a wise man who was respected by everyone because he would provide advice and share the teaching of God
- Jonah lived in Israel. Nineveh was the neighboring town and the people who lived there were evil and did bad things.
- God spoke with Jonah and told him about the evil people Nineveh. God wants to destroy them God wants Jonah to go to Nineveh and spread the news of God to change the people. God gave Jonah 40 days to change them.
- Jonah got scared and ran away and got on a boat to hide from God. While on the boat there was a storm because God was angry. The sailors decided to throw Jonah off the boat
- A whale then swallowed Jonah and he was in the whales stomach for 3 days. Jonah prayed for Gods forgiveness on 4th day the whale spat out Jonah
- God spoke to Jonah telling him to go to Nineveh Jonah agreed. He spoke to the evil people about his story. The king of Nineveh asked for forgiveness from Jonah the people of Nineveh changed and god didn't destroy Nineveh. Jonah was unhappy that Nineveh wasn't destroyed. God explained to Jonah he has done good Jonah returned and told the story to the people of Israel.
