  • Macbeth enters the room where there is candles lit and butlers are carrying into the dining room.
  • Macbeth starts to contemplate whether or not he should kill the king; he thinks it is wrong after how much trust he has in Macbeth.
  • Which thou esteem’st the ornament of life,And live a coward in thine own esteem,Letting “I dare not” wait upon “I would, ”
  • Lady Macbeth enters asking Macbeth why he is not not in the dining room.
  • I am settled, and bend up Each corporal agent to this terrible feat.
  • Macbeth decides that he cannot go forward with killing the king. Lady Macbeth is surprised with this decision.
  • Lady Macbeth snaps on Macbeth calling him a coward for not being able to kill the king. She knows that this will change Macbeth's mind because she is jeopardizing his manhood and his pride.
  • Macbeth decided he will not be a coward and he will kill the king with the plan they came up with. He does not want his wife to think of him as a coward.
