- Lady Macbeth snaps on Macbeth calling him a coward for not being able to kill the king. She knows that this will change Macbeth's mind because she is jeopardizing his manhood and his pride.
- Macbeth decided he will not be a coward and he will kill the king with the plan they came up with. He does not want his wife to think of him as a coward.
