- What are square and cube roots?
- Good morning class. Today, we will be learning about square and cube roots!
- A Square root is a number when multiplied by itselfgives the original number.
- A Cube root is one of three identical factors of a numberthat is the product of those factors.
- Lets go to the board and ill show ya'll how to do it

- Since square means two, I think you have to divide the first number by two
- √1=1
- √4=2
- √16=4
- √9=3
- Correct! Anyone else?
- Does anyone know how I got these answers?
- On the cube root, I think you have to divide the second number by 3 to get your answer
- Cube Roots
- 3√27=3
- 3√64=4
- 3√125=5
- 3√216=6
