- Did you hear about the International Men's Day event at our school on 18th November 2022?
- Yeah, I heard it's just for us - the girls have to go to normal lessons! And we get to wear our PE kit all day!
- Apparently, International Men's Day is about raising awareness of men's issues - including how we see ourselves and what we feel comfortable talking about.

- Mrs Bye-Gannon in room 008. She is very approachable!
- To help young males across the UK, myself and Year 11 Co-Researchers will be making notes in research diaries during the event. There will also be an optional online survey at the end of the event. If you and your parents are happy to consent, just turn up to the event!

- Our knowledge is power... we can help others by just being ourselves and taking part in each session
- The research diaries won't contain anyone's names and will just be general notes about the event and how the different activities go. Mrs Bye-Gannon and the Co-Researchers aren't going to follow anyone around or pick out any individuals
- Yeah, she told me that they want to capture any ideas we all have that might help teenage boys across the UK.
- I wanted to check that you are happy to help me with my research. Don't forget that the survey is anonymous too!
- During P5, you can complete an optional online survey about the event and what it is like to be a male student.
- Why is the online survey asking for our consent ?
