  • My mother left me when I was three months old so I was raised by both of my grandmothers.

  • Both of my grandmothers encouraged me to read. They felt that in order to be successful you had to get a proper education. Reading was the key to getting there

  • I had to share a room with my cousin who lived to make my life miserable. I just wanted to read in peace, I wasn't bothering anybody.

  • We always end our visit reading the newspaper in her room sitting on the bottom of the bed. Sometimes we read to each other, sometimes we just read to ourselves quietly.

  • When I moved to Canada grandma Rose was one of the few people that wrote to me. I Iooked forward to her letters and I tried to keep them all. When I was homesick I would re-read them and I could hear her melodic voice in my head. I missed her so much.
  • As an adult I no longer read fiction, I've become obsessed with learning about different spiritual practices, metaphysical laws, vegetarianism, plant and herbs.
  • So if I do my inner work the outer will change!
  • There's a plant to heal everything.
  • Who knew meditation was so important!

  • The only fiction I read now is in my youngest daughter's story books.
  • Being the strict Catholics that they were, my grandmothers would certainly not approve of my current books. They would probably want to burn them.
  • I now read to help to create a new reality not to escape from the one that I'm living in. I read to learn more about the Inner and Outer worlds and my part in all of it.
