- it was a normal day at work, when suddenly a loud noise sounded
- there was smoke coming out of the world trade center
- a few people, along with me, went down the stairs thinking it was a terrorist attack by osama bin laden
- he had committed terrorist attacks before, such as bombing the u.s. coal
- after i exited the building i got swarmed by people because the second plane hit
- i ran away, and found a payphone to call my wife and parents, as i had left my phone in the office
- after i got off the phone, i found co-workers also trying to escape the havoc
- we walked up the highway towards one of their houses nearby, listening to people’s radios playing through their cars
- after we got to the house, we turned on the news to see what was happening
- people who were stranded on the world trade center tried jumping, but almost none of them survived
- we finished watching the news and by that time the subways opened back up and i was able to return home
- after a few days most people were able to return to work, but i had to relocate to a new office because my building had been damaged
- many individuals had witnessed such terrible events that they could not return to work, and the towns had memorials to honor those who passed
- although this was a horrible event, and we still mourn the ones who passed, it is up to us to move on and continue our lives
- and so that is what we did, we repaired the buildings, and though we still understand the depths of this event, we are working together to move on
