  • Fundamental Freedoms
  •
  •
  • Not Fair!
  • PROTEST!!
  • Democratic Rights
  • Mobility Rights
  • Woohoo! I love being able to travel to the Tropics on vacation!
  • In the Fundamental Freedoms part of the CCRF, it says that everyone has the right to freedom of expression, thoughts, religion, and peaceful assembly. This is shown above in each of the quadrants; protests, religion, thought, and expression. This is really important because it ensures that people can be who they really are.
  • Legal Rights
  •
  • I cannot say where I was during this time.
  • Democratic Freedoms make it so that everyone has a right to vote, run for public office, and express political opinions. It is crucial because this is what makes Canada a democracy!
  • Equality Rights
  • Our relationships are both wonderful and accepted!
  • An example of mobility rights is that people are able to move and travel where and when they like; permitted there is not something like COVID in the way. This is important because it makes  it so that people can connect with people far away and also experience the world.
  • Language Rights
  • As you can see, all the food sold in Canada has labels in both  English and French. The CCRF mandates it!
  • Qu'a-t-elle dit?
  • Witnesses that are used in court have the right to withhold information if it may implicate them. As seen above, a witness decides not to state where he saw a crime because he was making graffiti at the time.
  • Where were you when this happened?
  • Equality rights make sure that all people are, in the CCRF,  completely equal. An example of this is shown above. One relationship is homosexual, while the other is heterosexual. However, they are both protected from discrimination or other things that they (particularly the homosexual relationship) may face. This is crucial because is keeps people safe and equal.
  • The CCRF ensures that both English and French (the official languages of Canada) are represented. This is super important, because people speak both languages! An example of why this is important is depicted above. The women speak different languages and while they cannot understand one another, they can read the sane labels.
